Here is Gigi taking a nap in her crib. I thought it was so cute that she was sleeping on her side. Now that she rolls over, I get very nervous about her sleeping positions. I keep checking on her to make sure that she is okay.

I'm also reading a book, The No Cry Sleep Solution. I was getting worried that Gigi was taking such long naps in the early evening. As I mentioned before, she has been sleeping through the night (10 PM to 7 AM) since she was 3 months old. But during this past week, Gigi has been taking two hours long naps from about 6 PM to 8 PM. The book says that most babies are primed to sleep during this window, and that if you put your baby to bed during this time, they are likely to sleep through the night.

Today we were out and about with the Setos. We met them at Kahala Mall, where Gigi decided to take a nap. Notice the pacifier. Sid decided to give it a try since Gigi was sucking her fingers so much. It worked!
Here is Sid and Gigi at a restaurant in Hawaii Kai, The Kona Brewing Company. We ate with the Setos, and then we strolled around Hawaii Kai. We found a cute baby store there.

Tonight we had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa and the Setos at Mitch's Sushi Restaurant. Sid was working so he couldn't have dinner with us. Gigi had a great time. Our waitress wanted to hold her, and then so did the other dining guests. Gigi got passed around amongst four other ladies. It was funny to see. They all loved her hairdo.

For Gianna's 5 month birthday, we went to the Waikiki Yacht Club with the Setos. We also saw Asa and Bob there. I dressed Gigi in her sailor outfit for the occasion.

We all slept very well after the party. Mike, Anne, and Mitchell came over to play and to have lunch with us before we had to check out. I got Gigi a swim suit, but I forgot all about swim diapers! Here she is sporting her bikini at the pool.
Here's Gigi taking her first swim!

February 20, 2007- Sid'sParty

Here's one of my favorite pictures of Sid and Gigi. This is when she crashed his party around 9:30 PM! I called Grandma and Grandpa to see how she was doing, and I could hear her sobbing in the background. I think she just wanted to be where the action was.

Here's the link to Sid's birthday party web album:

February 20, 2007 - pre-party

We got to Halekulani around 4 PM. The party starts at 6 PM. Our room was on the first floor, so we could walk right out onto the lawn by the swimming pool. It was a great location for the baby. Here we are relaxing before the party.
Here's Gigi rolling around on the lawn...

waiting for her cocktail.

Thank goodness for Grandma!

February 20, 2007 - yoga

Today is Sid's big birthday party. Grandma came out to help babysit while I took care of last minute details. She came with Gigi and me to our Mom & Baby Yoga class and took pictures of us doing our practice. During the first part of class, the moms do a little bit of yoga while the babies hang out.

During the second part of the class, the babies get to do their yoga. We stretch them and move them on the floor.

Next are inversions. They are really fun to do, and Gigi doesn't mind it at all!
Afterwards, the moms incorporate our babies into our traditional yoga poses. It's a challenge for me to stay balanced, but I love having Gigi with me. Above is my triangle pose. It needs a lot of work!
Here's my warrior pose (I think). I've got to lunge deeper!
I really like this pose. I get a great hamstring stretch, and Gigi gets a cradle ride.
In this pose, Gigi gets swung from hip to hip as I bend in a squat. She has a lot of fun doing this!
A few more inversions for baby.
Yeah for Gianna! She made it through another yoga class!
Here's Grandma feeding Gianna her post-workout meal.

Gianna hasn't been using her swing very much, so I decided to let her hang out in it for a bit. I was suprised to see how much she has grown! She fills out the entire seat now! I remember when I had to bundle her up just to make her big enough to fit into the safety straps of the seat. Now she can play with the toys on the attachable tray. Gigi really enjoyed being there and playing with the toys and rattle.

Last night we all went to Griffin's party at Kirin Restaurant. Aunty Suzanne gave Gigi the golden piggy bank and the gau. She was intent on eating some of it!
This morning, Sid had to babysit for about 4 hours! Mirella and I went to a cooking class at the Bistro in Century Center. We learned how to make Spinach Gnocchi! I immediately went to the market and bought the ingredients and made the dist for Sid. We celebrated by drinking a frizzante bottle of red wine named "Gianna".
Aunty Cyd also gave us some gau made in Kunia! She said she drives out there every year to pick up gau for Chinese New Year. Sid thought it was the best gau that he has ever had. Gianna really liked it, too!

Since the beginning of February, Gigi and I joined a group called Stoller Strides. It's an exercise group of moms and their kids. The instructors are all extremely fit and beautiful! They are great motivators to me. I'm determined to lose the "baby fat". We are at the far left of the picture. Everyone else has a jogging stroller, but our Bugaboo does just fine.
Our workout consists of some jogging spurts mixed in with upper and lower body exercises using an exercise band. The picture above is of Gigi hanging out while I do my ab workout on the towel next to her.

After Stroller Strides, we went to meet Aunty Kay for lunch at Champa Thai. I love their food!

For Valentine's Day dinner, Sid took me out to a romantic evening at La Mer. Grandma and Grandpa came to babysit Gigi while we had some couple time. The dinner was great, and Sid and I were able to set his menu for his birthday party later on this month.

This is Gigi's picture for her Valentine's Day Cards. I dressed her in her D&G onesie that I bought in CA. She's such a cutie!

Gigi has just started to figure out how to turn from her back to her tummy. It's super funny to see. The baby books say that most babies learn to go from tummy to back first, but not Gigi.
Here's the after shot. Hooray for Gigi! She made a successful flip from back to tummy!

Gigi's getting pretty good at eating here cereal now, and I've finally started to protect her seat from spills. Next week, she'll start adding veggies.
After going to Mom & Baby yoga, we stopped by to visit Aunty Lauren. She was babysitting Emie. shown above helping to buckle Gigi into her carseat.

Here's Gigi with Aunty Lauren.

Here is Gigi's first taste of rice cereal. Notice the medicine face she's making. Sid and I took some video of the whole feeding. It will make for a lot of laughts one day.

Sid, Gigi, and I went over to the Lums' house. Gianna got a chance to play in Connor's exersaucer. She looked pretty content. She also looked pretty comfortable in the Bumbo seat.
