This morning we walked with Auntie Michele using the Bugaboo, rather than the jogging stroller.

Today Gianna and I picked up Grandma and headed to Haleiwa. I had a dentist appointment with Auntie Devi. Here's Gigi walking to the office.

Afterwards, we went to Haleiwa Joe's for lunch. The food was pretty good!

Look what Papa and I caught in our "bear trap".

I think we caught a Panda Bear!

Uh oh. It's a very unhappy Panda. Panda's still sad even after Papa freed it.

Whoa, the Panda is really MAD!

I think the Panda wants to be carried.

There, the Panda looks calmer now.

Wow! What a great smile!

This is a very talented Panda. It can walk with just a little help.

There goes the Panda! :)

Last night we slept over in Wahiawa, because we went to the Bon Dance in Mililani with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle John, and Auntie Wendy. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures, because Gianna was sleeping. She got up for a little bit, and we danced with Auntie Wendy and Uncle John. :)

Here's Gianna "walking" around the house in Wahiawa.

Today Grandma came over to help watch Gianna while I tried to clean the house for Auntie Charlotte and Uncle Marcel. It's really hard to vacuum and mop when I'm watching over Gigi. She doesn't like the vacuum cleaner. She always starts to cry/complain when I vacuum.

To keep Gianna occupied while I cleaned, I lathered her up with sunscreen and let her play with water on the patio. Grandma supervised as Gianna splashed around.

I had put some of her bath toys in this big bowl that I got from Auntie Kay a long time ago, but Gianna kept taking the toys out. She just wanted to play with the water. Grandma had to keep refilling the bowl!

Here's Gianna going at it! She loves getting wet.

Later on, Grandma kept Gianna busy by "racing" her in the living room. Thank goodness for grandmas!

Today Grandma came to visit, and we all went out to Wee Play. When Grandma is around, Gianna likes to crawl over to her instead of sitting in the baby group. Here she is checking things out from Grandma's lap.

During the open play time, Gianna showed Grandma just how athletic she is. Here she is crawling, climbing, and sliding.

In the late afternoon, we went to swim class at 4:30 PM! I don't think that's a good time for Gianna. We were the only ones in class.

Afterwards, we picked up Uncle Hiroshi and took him out to dinner at Plumeria Cafe. Here's Gianna having some pasta...

and bread!

Gianna really enjoyed the musicians and the hula dancer!

Gianna is eating some seedless watermelon today. She loved holding the watermelon herself. Look at her happy self.

Check out those lower teeth. She actually has four on the bottom, but the one farthest to the left is not all the way out yet.

Smiles galore! Gigi had a great time feeding herself.

Today we flew home to Hawaii. We had a wonderful and relaxing time in Orinda. I really appreciate having Grandma Bernice and Uncle Ted around to play with Gianna. I actually finished reading the last Harry Potter book on this trip!

Although Gianna did not sleep very much on the plane, the good thing is that she did not cry at all. I did have to carry her around, but she was always in a pleasant mood. Papa also got us the bulkhead seats. Yeah for Papa!

August 8, 2007

Today we walked around North Berkeley. We went to the French childrens clothing store, but the owners were away on vacation. :(

In the same complex was a cupcake shop. Papa and I bought a cupcake to share and we got a mini cupcake for Gianna.

She wasn't interested in her tiny cupcake. Instead she grabbed the big cupcake and got frosting all over her hand!

What a mess!

Here's Papa messing around with Gianna in his foodball hold.

For dinner we went to Solano Avenue and had Indian food. I think Gianna was already too tired. She tried a bit of the crispy wafers, but afterwards she was a fuss pot.

I ended up taking her for a walk outside. We cruised through a bookstore that was still open, because it was mighty chilly out.
