November 30, 2007

Today I took pictures of Grandma and Grandpa with Gianna for their Christmas cards. Gigi did not want to smile. She was really tired. It was already her bedtime. After the photo shoot, Gigi fell right asleep.

Gigi and I slept over in Wahiawa, since Papa went to CA to see Godfather Danny and to work.

Here is a video of Gianna's first real steps!

Up until today, Gianna has taken at most four to six steps by herself. But today, she decided to walk from the bedroom into the living room. I was shocked! Luckily, Papa was home to witness Gigi's first steps! I ran to get the camera, and I was able to capture this moment.

Gigi's a TODDLER now!

This morning we drove to Pearl City to go to music class for the mini-session. We have four classes to go to in Pearl City. Gianna was a bit hesitant at first, but she finally warmed up to the new environment towards the end of class.

When we got home, Gianna began "dancing" with the polar bear.

Grandma and Grandpa came over to visit and to take us out to lunch. We met Uncle John and Aunty Wendy at Sorabol. Fortunately, Papa was able to join us. :)

Here's the whole family leaving the restaurant.

Here are some video clips of Gianna in her Japanese class.

The song that is playing in the background is about a butterfly.

The music in the background is about bubbles.

Today we went to The Kahala to take Uncle Ted out for breakfast. We got to see Auntie Ana and Auntie Joy, but Auntie Liulani was in a meeting.
After breakfast, we all walked around the grounds.
Here's Gigi walking up the stairs with Uncle Ted and Papa.

Gianna was in a great mood all day. I love this picture of her. She looks so HAPPY!

Here's a video of Gianna playing with Uncle Ted. Uncle Ted is a great playmate!
During dinner, Uncle Ted and Gianna were "cheering". I think we've all been watching too much football.

Today Papa and Uncle Ted were hanging out with Gianna, and Papa was able to capture the moment with the following pictures. Gianna picked up a book from her book pile, and started to "read" it.
I ususally have this particular book by the bedroom mirror.
Here's Gigi in the proper book reading position.
Later on in the day, Gianna practiced her climbing skills. She climbed onto the recliner with me, then proceeded to scramble to the top of the chair.
I had to grab her as she tried to dive off the top.
I decided to try and establish my alpha role by pinning her to the floor like I used to do with Kumadog.

I don't think Gigi understood what I was doing. She just thought it was super funny that I was holding her down.

Today we went to Kaira Grace's first birthday luau. It was a bit rainy, but the party was held at UH in the Hawaiian Studies Center. It was a really nice place and a really nice party.

Gianna was drawn to the stairs and walked up and down them with Papa's help.

Papa even let Gianna "slide" down the railing!

Today Papa took us out to lunch at The Kahala. We haven't been there for awhile, but when we got there it was like old times. Aunty Ana, Aunty Liulani, and Aunty Joy were all there to make us feel welcome. Gigi had a DELICIOUS grilled cheese sandwich and a fruit salad. She loved her lunch!

After lunch, we went strolling around the property. Gigi loved looking at all of the birds.

When we went to say goodbye to everyone, Gigi didn't want to leave. All she wanted to do was go up and down the stairs with Aunty Ana.

Here's Gianna and Papa walking around the porte-cochere while we waited for our car.
