July 2, 2008

Today we were leaving Alyeska to head down to Anchorage to board the cruise ship.
In the hotel, there was this huge bear.  Here's Gigi starting to 'bear walk' like she does in gymnastics class.
We headed up the mountain on the tram again, to have lunch at the coffee shop, but Gigi headed straight for the snow.
We made some snow balls, then threw them at Papa...almost.  :)
Here's Papa and Gigi enjoying the scenery.
All Gigi wanted to do was to play in the snow, even though she didn't have snow pants on.  Nevertheless, she squatted down in the snow to get to work on a snow man.

Here she  building her snowman.
Oops!  She was actually making a snow woman.  ;)
Look at Gigi...totally oblivious to the fact that her pants are totally wet from the melting snow.
After lunch, she said goodbye to the bear.  :)
Here she is watching her DVD player under my makeshift sun shade.
We made it to the dock, and everyone is getting on board.
The staff had set up a crib in our room for Gigi.  We took off the gate and turned it into a toddler bed.  They provided the pink pillow and the blanket!
The sun was shining brightly on our veranda.
I put Gigi's visor on her to protect her from the strong sun.

Grandpa and Grandma came to our cabin to toast our departure with some champagne.
