Today we were not able to go on our morning stroll because it was raining. Instead, I had the bright idea of taking Gianna on a walk in the rain. This is her first time wearing all of the rain gear I have on her. She did not like the pink boots I got for her, but I told her that she MUST wear them in order to go out in the rain. She also hates wearing hats or hoods, but I told Gigi that wearing a cap and her hood were MANDATORY! She actually understood me, and she wore all of the rain gear. :)

Although it looks quite sunny in the pictures, it really did rain quite hard while we were out on our walk. I didn't bring a camera, but I was still able to snap these pictures with my iPhone. :)

When Gigi came across the first really big puddle, she actually was going to walk around it. I told her that it was okay for us to walk in the water because we had our rain boots on. She thought that was totally cool! ;) Unfortunately, she tried to sit in the puddle, too, but I screamed so loudly, that she stopped in a low squat. :0

We walked around the block. I let Gigi choose which way she wanted to go.

Gigi's wearing a Cal baseball cap. I just pulled the rain hood over it to keep it secure. The cap is not a child-sized cap.

I had bought Gigi the rain gear, because of our field trip group. We go out in all weather, but we've been lucky so far. We haven't had to use our rain gear until now.

Gigi had so much fun! When we got home, I gave her a nice warm bath. Although she did not sit in that first puddle we came across, her leggings did get wet and dirty.
Tonight Gigi was in a reading mood at bedtime. Usually she picks the books, and I read them to her before she goes to bed. But, tonight, she was reading the story with me. I actually yelled for Papa to come in with the camera so we could capture this special moment. Gigi is really beginning to talk now. I can understand much more of what she is saying.
The book that we're reading is Love You Forever. Auntie Maile Lam gave it to us, and it is one of Gianna's favorites!
