Today is our last full day in CA. We leave early tomorrow morning for the airport. We decided to head back to North Berkeley to visit the shops that were closed on Monday. In particular, we wanted to go to the cupcake store to get Gianna a pink cupcake. One of her current favorite books is called Pinkalicious from Uncle Joe and Auntie Sharon. It's about a girl who eats a bunch of pink cupcakes and turns pink. :) My kind of story, except that she eats one too many and turns red! :0

Uncle Ted even left work early to join us, and we all ate our cupcakes, except for Gianna. She was not in the mood for cupcakes.

Instead, Gianna had a hankering for some CHEESE! We went to the Cheeseboard, and got her some cheese. Here she is with her card to keep her place in line.

I immediately sliced some cheese for Gianna, and she was all smiles!

That is until she ran out of cheese. :0

Our next stop was to get some gelato. I think Gianna has had ice cream almost every day that we've been here! She saw this sign by the gelato store and decided to play peek-a-boo...AGAIN!

Here's silly Gigi.

Gianna went exploring by herself while we were eating our gelato. She's not afraid of being alone. Yikes!

Since it was our last night with the family, we decided to eat in. We stopped off at the market for some ingredients. While I was getting the dinner items, Gigi and Papa were sampling the produce.

We've pretty much eaten a basket of strawberries a day!

After we got dinner started, we drove down to the LHS for one last quick play date.

Gianna really liked this exhibit. I think she thought it was a giant abacus. That reminds me that I need to start teaching her how to use one. ;)

She loved the water fountain, since the spray misted her face.

Next she was off and running to the giant double helix.

I tried to explain the meaning of the different colors for A, C, G, & T, but Gianna just wanted to climb through the structure.

When we got home, Anma played with Gianna. I found them doing stretches in the living room. I saw that Gianna was pointing her toes, so I asked her to flex them instead.

Here she is doing the Paschimottanasana asana (yoga pose). That's my yogi-in-training.
