February 6, 2008

We had a ROUGH morning today! Gianna woke up at 5 AM, and she was ready to PLAY! Luckily, she played quietly and nicely till it was time for us to leave for the gym. I signed her up for Keiki Club this morning so that I could go to a step class.

Unfortunately, she was in no mood to be at Keiki Club. Auntie Jean said that she cried off and on for the whole time that I was gone! When I arrived to pick her up an hour later, she was full of tears. :( She was so tired from crying that she fell asleep on our way to music class.

Once we got into the room, Gigi was back to her old self...smiles. One mom even commented on how Gigi always has a "sweet expression on her face." I thought that was really nice of her to say that to me. I think Gigi's a sweetie pie!

That's Connor to Gianna's left, and a girl named Sky to her right.

Gigi tends to sway back and forth while she plays her instruments.

Gigi was really interested in the triangle. That's one of her favorite shapes.

Here she is clinking away.

Connor's shirt was super funny. It says, "If the music is too loud, then you're too old." He's got the best wardrobe! Here's a video clip of the musical action.

After Gianna's nap, I took her to Kahala Beach Park. It was pretty sunny and quite warm, but the sand was sort of dirty. There were a lot of rocks and some glass bottle pieces. So, I carried her over to The Kahala hotel beach area. It was SOOOO nice over there! The sand was clean, and I felt really safe there. Next time, I just valet the car. :)

Here's Gianna in her bikini that Grandma got her in Haleiwa. I left her Tevas on because I thought the sand at the park was dirty.

Here she is on the beach at the hotel. It was so nice and clean! No rocks, no glass, no junk!

Gianna LOVED it. I put her water wings on and she swam quite a bit. We were out for about an hour. The great thing is that I could shower her off at the hotel. :) Next time I'll have to order a pina colada. ;)

I changed her out of her wet clothes and we headed back to the park.

The nice thing is that Gianna walked most of the way back to the park. There's a path from the hotel to the Waialae Country Club, so it was easy for her to walk back to our car. I only had to carry her a short way.
