We arrived in Santa Barbara this morning. The flight from HNL to SFO was a hard one, because Gianna was awake for most of the flight. She had fallen asleep before the plane took off, but then woke up after just 45 minutes. Luckily the man next to us was a father of a ten month old baby, so he understood what I was going through. While everyone else slept, Gigi was WIDE AWAKE. She wanted to be entertained. It really was rough. :
Luckily, Gianna fell asleep just before we landed in SFO. Then she slept during our stop over, as well as on the flight to Santa Barbara.

We flew in a super tiny plane. Here she is stretched out on the seat next to mine.

I'm sorry she missed the experience, but she really needed the rest.
Uncle Ted and Anma Bernice picked us up at the airport, which was as small as the Kapalua Airport on Maui. Gigi slept as we got off the plane, got our luggage, and rode home with Uncle and Anma. She was exhausted!

Here's Gianna checking out her new surroundings. The house in Santa Barbara is beautiful! It overlooks the water.

Uncle Ted brought Gigi a gift. It is a monkey that plays her favorite song, If You're Happy and You Know It. Here she is clapping along with the music.

Here's Gianna with Anma Bernice in the backyard. The weather is great, too!

The yard was a perfect place for Gigi to play.

Here she is testing her balance. She is still not walking on her own, but she has no problem when she's holding on to something or someone.

Gianna had a lot of fun just picking up leaves and bark from the trees.

The tree in the background hosts a lot of birds. Gianna likes to look at the birds.

After a long nap, we went out to the market with Uncle and Anma. The market we went to specialized in organic products. It was pretty neat.

We also walked over to the nearby playground with Anma. The location of the Santa Barbara house is great! It's close to so many things. This was the first time Gigi has been on a swing.

The bouncing horse is still a little too big for her.

Gigi LOVED the jungle gym! She climbed up the stairs by herself, then crawled back and forth along the top of it.

I finally had to go up there to fetch her.

For dinner, we all went to the pier and had seafood in a little shack that Mark and Mirella recommended. Uncle Ted had the crab. I had pasta with mussels, Gigi had some of Anma's clam chowder, and Anma had soup and salad. As usual, Gigi watched her DVD player after she finished eating, so that the rest of us could finish our meals in peace.
